The borough Democratic Party's executive committee voted unanimously last night to back Brooklyn attorney Stephen Harrison to run against Rep. Vito Fossella this year.

Rep. Vito Fossella arrested May 01, 2008 for DWI. Fossella had a .17 BAC. On October 17 he was convicted. On December 8 his conviction stood and he was sentenced to serve five days in jail. After his sentencing he appealed the verdict and now is awaiting a retrial.
Retrial date: early 2009
